Another snow day

Well looks like another snow day. So far we have had one day off work, worked 2 hours the next day shoveling snow and then 7 hours the next night but tonight its snowing heavely again. They are calling for plus for and rain tomorrow and possible plus 8 Saturday. We just got back from picking up some groceries and its comming down pretty good out there. I'm going to go make supper now. Patty seems to be doing pretty good but I still want to make her take it easy. I had to stop and kick Ben's ass as he just moon'd us. I held him so his mom could smack his ass. One big happy family. Well I better run as I smell supper and I shouldn't LOl.

snow ?? what the @%&$ ???

First off I want to wish Kris a happy birthday. I sort of messed up and thought it was the 23rd and called her a couple days ago. It worked out ok though because the girls were all going to NY city shopping and will pretty tired and sleeping today.

Can you believe it ? We have got a ton of snow the last 2 days. It had been raining for the past 2 weeks pretty much non stop. Yesterday on our way to Nanaimo Patty and I were looking at the snow on the mountains around here. We said how nice it looked but the mountains could keep it. After we had been at my place a couple hours we decided to go to Kelseys for a bite to eat. Thats when we noticed it had been snowing for a bit....and it kept snowing and snowing. People on the island don't know how to drive when it snows and you could tell by all the accidents and how slow traffic. So much snow has came down that they said on the news tonight if you don't have to go anywhere stay off the hwy so I won't be going to work. In good weather its 45 minutes to work from here. So we are just relaxxing watching some Tv tonight. Normaly I'd be in bed trying to get some sleep before work.

For all that is wondering Patty is doing better now. She feels real good at times but then feels not so well at other times. I'm doing my best to make her take it easy. I even cooked supper for everyone tonight and did all the dishes. We picked up the marriage liscence friday now we just need someone to say the words and presto have a wife. I'm really looking forward to this as we have been spending so much time together and its just been getting better and better. I've never been so happy. She's looking forward to becomming Mrs Gower. She told me her son Ben was telling her how much he likes me. We get along pretty good. Her one son Adam stays in the basement and I hardley get to talk to him. He seems like a pretty good kid and he told Patty he will give me a chance. I called him upstairs tonight for supper and made a plate for him to take down stairs. He pops up real fast and says thanks and then dissapears back down into the basement. In 2 weeks we go pick up Patty's oldest son and I'll get to meet more of her family. I'm looking forward to finally meeting them. I know they have heard about me and they told Patty whatever makes her happy. Well thats all for now I'll catch you up some more durring the week.

The big day is......

For those of you interested the big day for Patty and myself is December 17th 2006. We still have to get someone to do the ceremony which will be outside if its not raining. If it is raining or Patty really wants to we will get married in her aunts house. This morning I'm getting ready to take Patty to the hospital as she is having surgery. I didn't go into work last night as I wanted to be with her. I will let you all know how it went later this evening if I get a chance.

UPDATE

I know a couple people have said they would like to be out here for the wedding. Please don't think you have to because it will be alot of money right before Christmas. As much as I'd appreciate you being here I think that kind of money for a short trip is way too much. I'm not telling ppl not to come but just letting you know I understand if you decide to use the money for better things. Right now we are planning a trip to Ontario in the summer so you will get to meet Patty. She has an aunt in Huntsville and another in Barrie. Just a thought.

I'm getting married !!!!

Well everyone I did it. Earlier today Patty and I went out for a coffee and walked around the mall window shopping. Then we went for groceries and picked up lunch for her son Ben. Then on the way home I decided to drive down to the beach so Patty and I could go for a walk. It was pretty windy and cool and the rain was comming down pretty good so we were going to keep it short. Half way I stopped and I looked Patty in the eyes and told her how happy she made me and that I loved her. Then I dropped down onto my knee took her hand in mine and I asked her to marry me. I won't go into all the details but it sure felt good and it sure feels right. She teard up and said yes of course. She had told me she wasn't into diamonds or anything like that so I gave her a family ring of mom's that I've had all these years and means so much to me. I have never been this happy in my whole life so if you don't agree with me on this then please keep your thoughts to yourself. Just know that I'm crazy about this woman and want to make her as happy as she has made me. We are going to get married on the island here with a justice of the peace. I'm going to start looking into getting a marriage liscence and setting this up. Looks like it is going to be in December. I would like to tell you a date but we can't as Patty's son might be moving here the middle of December and we have to drive to Merrit to get him. We are not going to invite anyone but will tell you the date when we know it and if you'd like to come out here for it then we'd love to have you but its going to be very small. We are going to try to go to Ontario this summer and then I can introduce my wife to the whole family.

Raiders Win

The V.I. Raiders have won the Cananadian Junior Championship !!! Was a hell of a game with us holding a pretty good lead right before half time but with 14 seconds to go Edmonton scored a touchdown. We pulled away a bit in the second half and Edmonton fought back to take the lead. We were on their 45yrd line 3rd down and 10 and went for it cause there was about 45 seconds left in the game. A receiver that hadn't caught anything all day made a great catch for the first down and then some. After 2 running plays the field goal unit was sent in. The coach has always said to Scott Dixon before every kick "its just another kick" Yeah with the Canadian Championship on the line. Before it went through everyone was running onto the field jumping hooting and hollering but then we had to clear the field because even tho the clock said 00:00 there were 2 seconds left on the official game clock. So a hail marry attempt later we are all back on the field again. Final score Raiders 27 Edmonton 26. Both teams played an excellent game and left everything on the field. Years were everywhere. Patty and Ben were there with red painted hair but had to leave as Ben has been ill the past week. I brought home pizza after the game and we had our own cellabration.

Breakfast of champions !!

Patty stayed over last friday night and I had to get up and go move the Harley the team is raffeling off so I told her to just stay in bed and I would get breakfast for us. When I got home she was awake and waiting so I gave her my favourite breakfast and she loved it. For those of you that don't know what it is I'll tell you. A big bag of peanut M&M's and a pop. I had a pepsi she had a sprite. The fact that she enjoyed it as much as me shows we were meant for each other. I did add a rose for a romantic touch.

The Scoop

Well as some of you may have heard I recently met a wonderful woman named Patty. We met online and hit it off right from the start. While getting to know each other she had told me about a weirdo she had met in Nanaimo that asked her to marry him on the 5th date and said that he loved her. She told me they had just gone for coffee a few times because she thought she had seen some red flags coming up. After she told me this I kind of laughed and said "so your telling me I have to wait till after the 6 date and she said yes. After the 6th day I said "so want to go to Vegas and get married and she said sure. We laughed about it and joked about it every time we saw each other or talked on the phone. By this time I had start realizing how lucky I was to have met this woman. She had told me right up front that I had to pass the kiss test or there would be no second date. When I went to pick her up she was waiting outside and I thought wow this woman is beautiful. She has beautiful blue eyes and a great smile. It was like we had known each other a long time the way we interacted. Although I did think at one time that she was drunk cause as we walked along a trail she bumped into me every now and then. It wasn't till the one time when she "accidentally" touched my big ol Gower butt that I clued in. We had had lunch before heading out for our walk and everything was going great. I kept thinking about his kiss test and was a little worried because it had been a while since I had really kissed someone other than an aunt or cousin. Although aunt Olive tried to use tongue (OMG that is too sick LMAO I'm kidding of course...or am I??)We ended up going for a long drive and another walk where we ended up down a steep hill. I took her hand and helped her up the hill (so she thought because I needed the help) I drove her home and she asked if I wanted to meet 2 of her sons and her aunt and I said sure. When we walked up to the steps leading into the house she stopped on the first step turned around and looked me right in the eyes. I was praying that the lip push ups I had been practicing on the mirror since she had told me about the kiss had worked because they were the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. Well its been a couple weeks now and she still hasn't dumped my azz so it must have been ok. As far as the Vegas thing I'll let you know the date as soon as we decide. We have talked seriously about it and nothing stopping us but coin LOL. Christmas might be a good time but it might be more expensive. Want to do it before I need a passport or she changes her mind. Not sure how long I can keep up this sweet guy act LOL.

Well there ya go.
