The Vancouver Aquarium

Day trip to Vancouver

Last August we did a day trip to Vancouver with Bre, Ben and the kids. Ben drove so it was nice being a passenger for a change. We went to the aquarium for the afternoon. It was a gorgeous day and we had lots of fun. They are not allowed to keep whales anymore and mostly deal with sick, injured or abandoned animals. They have some seals, otters and a dolphin thats missing a fin. Plus some tanks that hold fish and jelly fish.

We spent a few hours ate lots of treats and had lots of fun. On the way home we stopped for supper at Chicos I think. I ran around the corner to A&W.

Thanks Ben and Bre for inviting us along. We had a great day hanging out with the 5 of you!

About freaking time!

Well hello folks.

Well I got locked out of blogger had forgot password then my other laptop died. Its been almost a year and I had gone whale watching with captain Ron and told everyone I would post pictures but couldn't. So I'm going to do a few posts in a short period of time hopefully.

Before I went whale watching I went down to Esquimalt Lagoon with Dante to take some photos. It was a gorgeous day and there was lots of bird action going on. People think Seagulls are dumb but after watching them for a while I discovered they are quite smart. Also a bus driver has been feeding one at the legislature building and now when you stop the gull comes to check out the bus to see if it's the driver that is feeding him. It will jump right on the bus to look.

Patty and I also took a couple trips. First we went to Saxe Point then we went out to Sooke to a place called Whiffen Spit. It was nice day for a walk but the only real pictures I took were of Dante going swimming in the ocean. He must have been hot because he's not a real swimmer.

Dante was having fun and minding his own bussiness while I took some photos

An eagle happen to fly by. This is a young one.

This gull is working on getting whats inside this clam out by taking it up and dropping it on stones trying to break it open

There are usually lots of these herons around but it was a little quiet today.

Patty and I went to Saxe point. She loves taking photos now as well.

I believe it was a day or two later when we drove out to the Whiffen Spit in Sooke

It is a beautiful place but not as photographic of an area as i thought or I just didn't see it

Well that's enough for my first blog post in a while.
Hopefully I will be back soon.
