Saturday we went to a bbq at Aunties place. There was a big crowd as usual and lots of kids having fun. Tammy came along with us but Denesha had gone to stay at a friends place. I think she would have enjoyed this but she had fun at her friends. The weather wasn't great but it didn't rain which is a very good thing. I walked around and took a bunch of photos but did not get every one that was there. Was concentrating on the kids on the trampoline and practicing MMA fighting out back.

Sunday we picked up Denesha but left Ben at aunties where he had spent the night. We drove out to Coombs to shop and look around then we went to Cathedro Grove where the big trees are. On the way back we stopped at little Qaulicum falls. I only took a few pictures because it rained most of the time but we had a lot of fun anyways. You learn to take the weather how it comes and not to plan around it on the island. Most days are very nice or it may look like rain but it never falls but the odd time you may just have to get wet or muddy like at Cathedro Grove. Tammy and Denesha had never been there but enjoyed it very much!I posted a couple pictures from sunday on Facebook.

It was a pretty quiet long weekend here. Patty had fallen down some stairs a week ago and hurt her tail bone. She has trouble sitting for long periods of time or we would have gone to see Shrek.

Saturday we slept in and then went shopping at a couple places. We went home and I made supper which consisted of Pan fried halibut and sole with some sweet potato fries. Our good friend Tammy came and spent the night cause her daughter was away camping. Tammy and Denesha are moving in for the month of June as they are moving back home to Manitoba to be closer to family. We will miss them but if last night was a sign of what it will be like her this month it's going to get crazy.

Sunday I had to work at Wal-Mart and Patty had supper ready for when I got home. Tammy and Denesha were here but Ben ditched me and went to Aunty's for the night. I tried to stay out of the girls way but they kept dragging me into their ladies night. They did chocolate facials but as Patty discovered it smelt like chocolate but tasted like mud. They couldn't talk me into the facial. Then there was popcorn, brown cows and a chick flick. I did let Tammy foliate my feet and trim and file my toe nails. I gotta admit it felt good and made my feet nice and soft. That was as far as I went.

Monday Patty had to work for an hour and I went to visit Eric to get help with a computer program. Then we went shopping and got items for a bbq. We then went and picked up Ben and Tammy, Denesha and Tristen came for dinner. We had home made hamburgers and turkey burgers as well as corn on the cobb. Patty cut up strawberries and mixed with blueberries and raspberries then we put whipped cream and yogurt on top. mmm mmm good. After dinner Denesha walked Tristen home, Ben was outside and I was downstairs on my computer. Patty and Tammy were upstairs messing with Patty's lap top. They were laughing so hard I had to go upstairs and check on them. They were writing stuff on facebook having a good ol time so I snuck back down to the basement. Denesha started staying here Sunday night and Tammy will start as of tonight. Good thing I work evenings and will only have to deal with all the women on the weekends!

Saturday we went down to Langford to baby sit Gwen. I love spending time with her any chance I get so when Patty told me Mary had asked if we could do it I said hell yes!!

We drove down around noon and Mary had made a Delicious lunch for us. Then she left and Patty put Gwen down for a nap. Ben and I took a walk and bought a bag of bird seed. When Gwen woke up we were going to a petting zoo and to feed some ducks in a pond in the park.

They have lots of different animals to look at but the goat area you can go right in and pet or brush them. Gwen wasn't sure about it at first but she was petting them anyways. Then I got her a brush and Ben showed her what to do. We saw rabbits, donkey, minature horse, pot belly pig some peacocks and lots and lots of goats.

Across the road is a pond and we went over to feed the ducks. Ben worked up the courage to try feeding them out of his hand. He was nervous at first but then enjoyed it. He tried to coax a squirrel to eat out of his hand but it never happened. It got close a few times but then ran up a tree. Gwen ended up dumping the seeds out of his hand to help him. Two ducks got into a big battle a few times. One was trying to drown the other.

We then walked over to a park where Ben and Gwen went on a slide then Ben pushed Gwen on the baby swing. Gwen kept saying weeeee swing weeee swing. Ben was a good uncle and kept her busy the whole time we were away.

We left there and went back to Mary's for supper. After supper we decided to play in the yard. I had gone out to play with my camera and Gwen came out to watch me then Ben and Mary started playing badminton while I took pictures of Gwen and Patty looked on. Then they started playing with a wagon.

All in all it was a great day and I took about 900 photos some of which are posted below. It's been a while since I posted photos so the order is out a bit but they are worth a look.
