this and that

The winter storm is done here and yesterday was plus 13 and rain....lots of rain. Hydro had been knocked out all around Duncan but didn't affect us. It did though affect work as hydro was out all day yesterday so there was no work again tonight. That's why at 4am I'm sitting at my computer doing a blog.

Yesterday I went to see the Dr because my ribs were getting better but have since gotten worse again. Found out from her that I had 4 broken ribs and a slightly collapsed lung. They had told me at the hospital at least 2 broken ribs but that everything else looked fine. She said I probably have done too much and should be resting them but told her I had gone into work from day one. Also I have to go see an ear specialist because I have a hole in my left ear that shouldn't be there. Its been there that I know of for a couple months now.

Patty has an eye infection and had gone to the Dr's with me to get checked out. I asked if we get a 2 for 1 special but no luck. Then I told the Dr that this was a date for the wife and I since we work different shifts and don't get out much. She thought that was romantic .... NOT LOL

Last night I shot out and picked up a few things at the store then after supper Ben and I used Alice's (Terry) shortbread recipe and to my surprise it worked out this time. I had only tried it one other time without much luck. We made a double batch but I bet its all gone by the end of today. Nothing lasts around here that tastes that good.

Well I'm heading down stairs to play some Xbox till Ben gets up and I take him to school.
